Jerusalem inspectors prepare for Beit Yehonatan demolition

The Jerusalem Municipality completed its preparations on Tuesday for the impending evacuation and sealing of Silwan's Beit Yehonatan, with inspectors taking measurements at the seven-story home.
The east Jerusalem structure, built with funds from the Ateret Cohanim organization, has been ruled to be illegal.
The building's occupants claimed that the municipality's legal adviser was exploiting the fact that Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat was abroad in order to seal the house without his consent.
However, Barkat's office stressed that the move was being carried out with his full knowledge and in accordance with his commitment to implementing the court order.
