J’lem Marathon expected to cause traffic, road closures

Jerusalem residents should expect major road closures along the route of the Jerusalem Marathon on Friday, lasting until the runners finish the course or about 2 p.m.
The major roads being closed are: Ruppin, Yitzhak Rabin, Heil Handasa, Haim Bar-Lev, Churchill, the Hebrew University, Hativat Yerushalayim, Jabotinsky, Hanassi, Chopin, Dubnov, Emek Refai’im, Yehuda, Yanovski and the Haas Promenade, large parts of Derech Hevron, Eliezer Hamoda’i, Hapalmah, Fichman, Tchernochovski, and Ben-Zvi.
The public is encouraged to use the Begin Highway and avoid the downtown areas as much as possible.
