Jordan: Israel aims to change J'lem, threaten the holy sites

Jordan's King Abdullah II on Sunday slammed the approval of an east Jerusalem housing plan, saying that the purpose of Israel's "one-sided moves" is to change Jerusalem's identity and threaten the city's holy sites.
According to Channel 10, Abdullah told EU Parliament Chairman Jerzy Buzek that Israel's steps were "destroying the chances for achieving peace and intensifying the instability and tensions in the Middle East."
The Jordanian monarch reportedly said that Europe has an important role in promoting the resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, a solution "based on the two-states solution."
