Judge Mazza: Not legislative role to investigate NGOs

The retired vice president of the Supreme Court, Judge Eliahu Mazza, has said tghat the Knesset decision to investigate human rights organizations is a faulty decision and was designed to plug sharp mouths, Israel Radio reported Monday.

Judge Mazza warned that the decision of the Knesset also violates the balance of powers in government, because it is not part of the legislative role to conduct such investigations.
