Junior academic staff to strike opening of school year

Junior academic staff at universities across the country announced that they will strike on the first day of the academic school year in protest of their work conditions as contractors.

The academic staff's coordination committee announced that it is demanding the universities stop employing people as private contractors. Additionally, they demanded an additional NIS 60 million from money promised for education reforms in order to improve work conditions.
