Juppe: France can't extradite driver who killed Zeitouni

French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe called on Israel and the family of hit-and-run victim Lee Zeitouni to complete the legal procedures necessary to try the two men implicated in the accident, saying that France could not extradite them.
French law does not allow the two to be extradited to Israel, or even stand trial in France without the appropriate appeal from Israel, Juppe said according to Israel Radio.
The French foreign minister said France's legal system would act with determination to bring the two men to justice.
The occupants of the vehicle that ran over Zeitouini escaped to France after causing the fatal accident that killed the 25-year-old yoga instructor in Tel Aviv.
