Kadima MK: Child-transport vehicles must contain detector

MK Ze'ev Bielski (Kadima) drafted an initiative Tuesday that any vehicle used for transporting children should carry a detector device that sounds an alarm should a child be forgotten inside once the vehicle is locked.
The initiative came in the shadow of the death of a Netanya toddler who was forgotten in locked van used to transport children to and from preschool for six hours.
Bielsky sent the initiative to the Transportation Ministry, requesting the the ministry employ "experts in the office to pass such regulations."
