Katsav appeal to be closed to the media

Judge George Kara of the Tel Aviv District Court denied a request to make former president Moshe Katsav's appeal to the court open to the media.

Kara and the other judges in the case explained that opening the case to the media is impractical and does not allow for a full defense of Katsav, and would risk revealing the identities of the complainants.

The appeal is set to take place on February 22.
