Katsav submits main argument in his appeal to Supreme Court

Former president Moshe Katsav submitted to the Supreme Court his main argument in an appeal of his rape conviction, Army Radio reported Tuesday.

Katsav argued, among other things, that he was judged ahead of time by the media and judiciary heads, and so he is protected by abuse of process.

The former president also claimed that the court did not have hold a substantial discussion over the defense's argument that a voluntary romance developed between Katsav and the complainant and he did not rape her.
