Knesset State Control C'tee: Olmert verdict a black stain

Knesset State Control Committee chairman Uri Ariel (National Union) said Tuesday that the verdict that former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was guilty of breach of trust was a "black stain" for Israel.

The Jerusalem District Court convicted Olmert of breach of trust in the Investment Center affair, and acquitted him of three other charges.

"The conviction of a former prime minister of breach of trust, is a difficult day, a black stain in a severe crisis of public confidence in their leadership and elected officials."
