Kuwait: Activists storm Syrian embassy; two injured

Kuwaiti security forces fired shots in the air as activists protesting outside the Syrian embassy tried to storm the mission, injuring at least two protesters, AFP reported Saturday.

Kuwaiti authorities made several arrests after activists gathered around the Syrian embassy to protest against the ongoing Syrian crackdown on anti-regime protests in embattled country.

The demonstration was organized by activists who organized the gathering through Twitter, calling for its commencement after dawn Muslim prayers.

The protest mirrored those in Egypt and Germany, where protesters stormed the embassies in Cairo and Berlin after more than 200 people were killed in a government assault on the restive Syrian city of Homs.
