Kuwait FM: Arab world witnessing rare moment

CAIRO — Kuwaiti foreign minister said the Arab world is witnessing an "unprecedented political mobilization," in reference to the expected secession of south Sudan and the uprising in Tunisia that led to removal of a longtime authoritarian ruler.
A day before the official opening of the Arab Economic Summit in Egypt's resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, Mohammed al-Sabah questioned the ability of the current Arab governments to alleviate the suffering of the Arab citizens.
It was a rare acknowledgment by a top Arab official on the deteriorating economic and social conditions striking many Arab nations and highlighted impact of Tunisia popular uprising over the Arab world.
