Labor Court to convene over strike injunction requests

Judge Nili Arad, president of the National Labor Court, announced her decision late Sunday afternoon to convene a hearing at 8 p.m. Sunday in response to urgent requests for injunctions to prevent the general strike planned for Monday morning.
The judge also convened a preliminary hearing at 6.30 p.m. with Histadrut chairman Ofer Eini and Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz.
The Union of Local Authorities in Israel, the Federation of Israeli Economic Organizations, the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce and the Finance Ministry have all sought protective injunctions against the strike.
