Lador: Few countries would bring their presidents to trial

State Prosecutor Moshe Lador on Thursday responded to the conviction of Moshe Katsav for charges of rape and sexual harassment, saying: "Although this is a day of sadness and shame, it is also a day of elation, and honor for the justice system."
Lador stressed that "Even though it was a hard day for Israel, there is a bright spot that we can take comfort in - everyone is equal before the law. There are very few countries that would bring their presidents to trial."
