Lapid: Negotiations are an existential necessity

Negotiations with the Palestinians are an "existential necessity," Yesh Atid chair Yair Lapid said in an Interview with Army Radio on Tuesday.
Criticizing Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for his lack of progress, Lapid called Netanyahu's stalling on an inevitable process "the tragedy of Israel."
He also accused Netanyahu of fraying Israel's diplomatic ties with his recently-announced settlement plans, saying he "stuck a finger in the eye" of US Secretary of State Hillary with the announcement.
Turning to his electoral agenda, Lapid said his priorities were education, drafting haredi Jews to the military and housing prices.
