Lebanese police detain 2 suspects in mob killing

BEIRUT — Lebanese police have detained two men suspected of taking part in last month's lynching of a murder suspect, local security officials said Friday.
Egyptian national Mohammed Msallem was stabbed to death on April 29 by an angry mob in the Chouf mountain town of Ketermaya. His body was paraded through town and hanged from an electricity pole.
Msallem had been arrested a day earlier on suspicion of killing four members of a local family.
The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations, said the two men were detained Friday in Ketermaya.
