Lebanon to seek UN mediation for Israeli sea border

Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour declared on Monday that Lebanon intends to file a complaint with the United Nations that the demarcated sea border agreed upon by both Cyprus and Israel violates its territorial waters, Lebanese newspaper The Daily Star reported.
"For sure we will (petition the UN). This is an aggression on our gas and oil rights and we will not remain silent," said Mansour.
This statement comes after Ali Hamdan, spokesman for Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, gave an interview to Bloomberg on Sunday to the same effect.
“Lebanon has warned that it insists on protecting its borders and resources,” said Hamdan.
Israel's Cabinet agreed to the Israeli-Cypriot demarcation lines on Sunday, which are based in part on Cyprus' demarcated border with Lebanon.
