Liberman urges PM to hold elections as soon as possible

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman met with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Friday and urged him to hold elections as early as possible.
If the Knesset is dissolved on October 15, the earliest possible time to hold an election would be January 15, 2013.
Netanyahu has already made a final decision to seek a February 12 election rather than try to pass the 2013 state budget, politicians who spoke to the prime minister said on Thursday.
The foreign minister said Friday that in order to avoid harming the government's economic and security achievements, elections must be held at the earliest possible date.
