Libya says it cleared 'armed gangs' from oil town, Brega

CAIRO - The Libyan armed forces, loyal to Muammar Gaddafi, have cleared "armed gangs" from the oil town of Brega in the east, an army source said on Sunday on Libyan state TV.
"Brega has been cleansed of armed gangs," the military source was quoted on Libyan state TV as saying.
