Lieberman: Arbel leak 'serious blow to state security'

The reported leaking of sensitive information by Deputy Ambassador Dan Arbel to the media was a "serious blow to state security," Foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman said in an interview with Israel Radio on Wednesday.
"This isn't a casual thing. It's not like he forgot to swipe his work card," the foreign minister asserted, clarifying that the investigation isn't dealing with information that was already in the hands of journalists.
Lieberman explained that there are laws that define government workers' rights with regard to speaking to the media, saying that there are people who work in sensitive positions who aren't even allowed to speak to journalists at all.
That's why government departments have a spokesperson units, he said.
According to Lieberman, the investigation into the Arbel incident is now under investigation in cooperation with the attorney general.
