Lindenstrauss presents findings on Galant to A-G

State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss on Wednesday presented to Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein his findings in the investigation into suspicions that Chief of General Staff-designate Maj.-Gen. Yoav Galant illegally seized land near his home in Moshav Amikam.
Lindenstrauss did not publicly announce his recommendations regarding Galant but he did say in a statement that the hearing in which Galant was questioned on Sunday helped clarify the issue. The state comptroller said he interviewed some 30 people in the course of the five week long investigation.
Based on the findings of the investigation, Weinstein will now have to decide whether or not Galant should be appointed to chief of General Staff on February 14 as is scheduled.
