Livni: Likud has abandoned the values it once stood for

Former Kadima leader Tzipi Livni said Thursday that the merger between the Likud and Yisrael Beytenu announced earlier in the day set up a "struggle for the future, the image and the principles of the State of Israel."Livni stated that the upcoming elections would be a choice between "an isolated, extremist state and a sane, Zionist state."The former Likud member said that the party had abandoned the values it once stood for.
