Lt.-Col. (res.) Boaz Harpaz released to house arrest

Lt.-Col. (res.) Boaz Harpaz was released to conditional house arrest for ten days Wednesday, following a decision by the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court.
The restrictions prohibit Harpaz from providing his version of the "Galant document" forgery case to the media or contacting others involved in the case. Harpaz was also required to deposit his passport and was banned from leaving Israel for a period of 90 days.
The decision was made following an agreement reached by Harpaz's lawyers and the Unit of International Crime Investigations.
Police recommended trying Harpaz for forging the document and said that there is a substansial foundation of evidence for an indictment against Harpaz. The case will be transferred to the State Attorney's Office.
