Ma'ale Adumim petitions High Court to rescind freeze

Maale Adumim petitons Hi

The Ma'ale Adumim Regional Council petitioned the High Court of Justice Sunday, demanding that it rescind the freeze on settlement construction that the government voted on last week. The petition states that the 10-month settlement construction moratorium harms the property and privacy rights of settlers. Also, the freeze discriminates between residents living beyond the Green Line and Israelis living throughout the rest of the country. The petition is similar to one submitted to the High Court of Justice last week by 14 local councils throughout Judea and Samaria.
