Maccabi Tel Aviv manager Avi Nimni fired after big loss

Following Maccabi Tel Aviv's loss to Maccabi Haifa 3:0 Monday night, Maccabi TA owner Mitch Goldhaar fired Avi Nimni from his post as manager of the team, reported Army Radio.
"I am concerned about the team's lack of satisfactory results; after considerable financial investment in obtaining quality players, it's clear at this time we are still not realizing our full potential. Our goal is to compete for the championship title," said an official statement released on behalf of Goldhaar.
Over a hundred million shekels have been invested in Maccabi Tel Aviv, prompting Goldhaar to dismiss Nimni, who was considered a crucial authority on the group and the undisputed leader of Maccabi TA among fans.
