Malaysia PM won't rule out early poll, eyes Sarawak

MELBOURNE - Malaysia Prime Minister Najib Razak said on Friday he had not ruled out an early election and that upcoming polls in the politically important state of Sarawak would figure in his thinking on general election timing.
"Sarawak will be part of the assessment," Najib told Reuters in an interview, adding that his ruling coalition was looking good to retain its two-thirds majority in the Sarawak legislature.
The next general election is not due until 2013, but there is growing talk that Najib could go early if his coalition performs well in Sarwak this year.
