Man attempts to set himself on fire n Beersheba

A man poured flammable liquid on himself and attempted to set himselfon fire outside of the Beersheba municipality on Monday, copying theactions of a social justice activist Moshe Silman, who isin critical condition of setting fire to himself in Tel Aviv Saturday.

The man, 48 who is known to social welfare, was prevented fromlighting himself by police officers who were on the scene.

He is seeking to obtain public housing and has encounteredbureaucratic obstacles.

On Sunday, a man attempted to set himself on fire at a branch of theOrance cell phone company in Petah Tikva. Security guards at the storeprevented him from harming himself.
