Man convicted in murder of fellow Yeshiva student

The Central District Court convicted Yitzhak Hanuka on Sunday of the premeditated murder of a fellow yeshiva student in Netanyah in 2009. Hanuak and another man, who was determined unfit to stand trial, were accused of stabbing David Manishrov 39 times over an argument on Yeshiva regulations.
According to the indictment the men killed Manishrov after he got into an argument with the Yeshiva’s head rabbi’s son over the presence of a television in his room. Hanuka denied being present at the scene of the crime but the judges ruled that Hanuka was guilty based on witness testimony and forensic evidence.
