Man found covered in stab wounds inflicted injuries on self

Police determined that a man who was discovered covered in stab wounds in the Beit Shemesh forest last Wednesday was the result of a self-inflicted injury, police spokesman Shmuel Ben Ruby announced on Monday.
The man was discovered in his car near the Ramat Beit Shemesh Gimmel neighborhood, though it was initially unclear if he was the victim of a political or nationally motivated crime.
The man was rushed to surgery at the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in critical condition but conscious. In December 2010, two women were stabbed in the forest next to Beit Shemesh in a terror attack from a cell operating out of Hebron.
American Christine Luken was killed in the attack and her friend Kay Wilson was critically injured but survived.
