Man 'lured jewelery dealer into armed robbery,' police say

A 23-year-old resident of Kiryat Malachi was charged with luring a jewelery dealer into an armed robbery at the Beersheba District Court on Sunday morning.
The suspect allegedly arranged for the salesman to arrive at the home a friend, where he met him and began negotiating jewelery purchases, the charge sheet said.
As the two men conversed, "two suspects arrived at the apartment on a moped, pulled out guns and robbed the jewelery dealer," the indictment added.
The suspects allegedly made off with NIS 60,000 worth of jewelery. "They were apparently tipped off by the suspect," prosecutors said.
Police said "an intensive and complex investigation led to evidence... that links the suspect to the planning and carrying out of the robbery."
