MDA puts out call for blood donations ahead of Succot

Magen David Adom on Monday put out a call to the public for blood donations ahead of the Succot holiday. According to MDA, blood banks in hospitals are low on blood, which is likely to harm the medical system.

MDA is asking for all blood types, but particularly O-negative. Those donating blood are entitled to "blood insurance," which guarantees blood for the person donating and for his or her close family should they need it in the coming year.
