Meridor on NPT vote: Hopes 'Damage can be repaired'

Intelligence Agencies Minister Dan Meridor criticized Sunday the US support of the Friday UN vote singling out Israel's nuclear capability for condemnation.
Speaking to Channel 1 News, Meridor said that the US decision disappoints Israel because it was thought the US was preparing a different, much more balanced proposal, which "should have been insisted on [by the US]."
Meridor added that that the US published explanatory statements that purported to repair the damage or at least part of it, but the issue will have to be discussed "in utmost seriousness" in the upcoming Obama-Netanyahu meeting, with a hope that "The damage can be repaired."
