Meridor points to durability of Egypt-Israel peace

Intelligence Minister Dan Meridor on Thursday played down fears that relations with Egypt could completely break down, pointing to the challenges peace between the two countries has faced in the past three decades.
Relations between the two countries, he told Army Radio, "have gone through the murder of [former Egyptian president Anwar] Sadaat and the fall of the Mubarak regime" and said he hopes Cairo sees those relations as serving the interests of both countries.
