Police evacuated shoppers at the Harel Mall in Mevasseret Zion outside of Jerusalem on Thursday evening after shoppers complained of difficulty breathing. Firefighters, police, and paramedics responded to the incident, which is believed to be a gas leak.
Investigators from the Environmental Protection Ministry were working to investigate leaks or other issues. Nothing was identified in the mall itself, and they expanded their search to nearby buildings and the parking areas. According to Channel 2, one woman fainted and others complained they had difficulty breathing before the mall was evacuated.
