MK Ben-Ari ridicules proposal to close Knesset for Ramadan

MK Michael Ben-Ari (National Union) Monday rejected with ridicule the request by MK Ibrahim Sarsour (United Arab List-Ta'al) in the Knesset to close the legislative body for the month of Ramadan.

"I encourage Sarsour to go to Saudi Arabia, where he will feel more at home. The Israeli Knesset is required to concern itself with the Festivals of Israel [i.e. Jewish festivals] alone," said Ben-Ari.

Ben-Ari continued, "Whoever this doesn't appeal to can take a one-way trip with their diplomatic passport."
