Mofaz on Nakba Day protests: 'Tectonic changes occurring'

Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs Committee MK Shaul Mofaz on Monday commented on Nakba Day events at the northern border, saying that "we did not have to wait until yesterday to understand that the reality in the Middle East has changed."

"There are tectonic changes occurring here and they are a promo for September events that will unleash waves against IDF soldiers and Israeli citizens," Mofaz said.

"Israel has a duty to take action, but the Netanyahu government is not doing that. The leadership is in political distress and so we are in a situation where the government cannot lead the State of Israel," he added.
