Moshe Ya'alon: Cabinet should not rush to approve Galant

Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Ya'alon Sunday cautiously criticized the decision of Defense Minister Ehud Barak to announce OC Southern Command Maj. Gen. Yoav Galant as the next IDF chief of staff before police had concluded their investigation of the "Galant document" affair.
"At the present moment, with all that is occuring around the appointment [of the next IDF chief of staff], where much has yet to be revealed [regarding the Galant document affair] I advise the government not to rush to bring the appointment to the cabinet for approval," Ya'alon said.
