Mubarak condemns Qaida threats on Coptic Christians

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak condemned al-Qaida's threats on Coptic Christians in Egypt, AFP reported on Saturday.
Mubarak reportedly told Coptic Pope Shenouda II that he rejects "pushing Egypt's name into the terrorist act that targeted a church in Baghdad."
An al-Qaeda group claimed responsiblity for taking a Bagdhad church hostage last Sunday, threatening to target all Coptic Christians in the region.
