BERLIN — Police say a group of children and teenagers attacked a Jewish dance group with stones during a performance at a street festival in Hannover, injuring one dancer.
Hannover police spokesman Thorsten Schiewe says the teenagers used a megaphone to shout anti-Semitic slurs.
Police are investigating the incident, which happened Saturday afternoon. Schiewe says a 15-year-old and a 19-year-old were being interrogated and it was not yet clear if the attack had been organized in advance.
Schiewe said Thursday it appears that several of the attackers were Muslim immigrant youths.
The dance group canceled their performance after the incident.
