Natalia Karlick to request retrial based on new information

Natalia Karlick, convicted in January of manslaughter in connection with her husband's murder of six members of the Oshrenko family, will request a new trial based on new evidence recently uncovered in the case, Army Radio reported on Sunday.
According to the new information, Natalia's husband Damian was contracted to kill the family by other people because of a business dispute. The indictment had stated that Karlick murdered the family because he was fired by Dimitri Oshrenko and that he had told his wife of his intention to kill him.
Natalia Karlick's attorney asked the court on Thursday, during her husband's ongoing trial, that the source of the new information be revealed, a move he believes can lead to his client's manslaughter conviction being overturned. The court refused the request.
