The National Infrastructures Ministry cut gas prices for January by just under 1 percent at midnight on Thursday. A liter of 95 octane gas in the self service lane will drop by 0.92% to NIS 6.44 from NIS 6.50 in December. In the full service lane, a liter of 95 octane will cost 13 agorot more and amount to NIS 6.57 from NIS 6.63 in December. On Wednesday, Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz announced that value-added tax on goods and services will be reduced by 0.5% to 16% from the current 16.5% effective from Friday. Against this water prices are expected to increase by 25% from January 1.
