National Insurance Institute launches personal on-line service

As part of its efforts to improve customer services, the National Insurance Institute on Monday launched a personal on-line service for individuals to keep track of welfare payments and other dealings with the institute. Accessed via its general website, citizens will be able to use the platform to keep track of pending payments to and from the NII and read all notices sent to them by the institute. To create an account, individuals must first obtain a password from their local NII office. Speaking at a press conference to launch the new service, NII Director General Esther Dominissini said that the new service would certainly reduce the waiting time for people at the NII branches. A spokesman for the NII said that no plans had been made yet to translate the service into other languages for members of the immigrant community.
