Naval officer commits suicide 'because of work pressure'

A major in the Israeli Navy committed suicide and blamed his superior officers for driving him to the act in a note he left behind, Channel 2 reported on Tuesday.
The major said in the suicide note that he was taking his own life because his superiors were overloading him with work, putting him under immense pressure. He added that his requests for help had gone unanswered.
Following the suicide, members of the major's family claimed that he had complained of a commodore who served above him threatening that he would not receive a promotion.
