Nearly 64% of Turks favor freezing relations with Israel

Nearly 64 percent of Turks believe relations with Israel should be frozen, AFP reported on Wednesday quoting an opinion poll conducted by the Ankara-based Metropoll research company last month.
In contrast, 27.9% of Turks said ties with Israel should be improved.
The poll also revealed that Turks see the United States and Israel as topping the list of countries most threatening to Turkey. The poll found that 42.6% saw the US as "the greatest external threat," followed by Israel with 23.7% and Iran with three percent.
Regarding Iran, the poll also found that 68.6% of Turks were worried about the possibility of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons, with 22.7% saying they are in favor of this happening.
