Negotiations continue to end doctors' strike

After a week of stalemate, negotiations between the Israel Medical Association and the Ministry of Finance restarted on Tuesday in Tel Aviv.
As part of a protest against low wages and service reductions, the IMA has imposed sanctions and threatened a work stoppage to begin as early as Wednesday.
Before entering the meeting, IMA chairman Dr. Leonid Eidelman expressed hope for a breakthrough in the talks, vowing to cancel further strikes and sanctions if an agreement could be met.
