Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu sounded optimistic about the chances for peace between Israel and the Palestinian Authority on Sunday, ahead of his trip to a peace summit in Washington.
"I am convinced that if the Palestinian leadership takes the negotiations as seriously as we do, we can reach a stable agreement - not just a deal for tactical ceasefire between wars," Netanyahu said during his weekly cabinet meeting."
He added, "We can reach a stable peace for us and our children and that is my goal."
