Nurses at Wolfson stage walk-off in protest of overcrowding

Nurses at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon walked out of operating rooms and internal wards in protest of dire overcrowding Sunday. The nurses claimed that hospital management is not taking any steps to improve the situation, Army Radio reported.

The nurses' union warned that they will go on strike Thursday, according to the report.

Health Ministry Director-General Prof. Ronni Gamzu visited Wolfson last week and said the number of patients arriving at the hospital were more than the facilities can handle.
