Obama talks to Chinese leader while plane idles

US President Barack Obama spoke with China's president on the phone from Air Force One, keeping the plane sitting on a runway for about 15 minutes after landing at Andrews Air Force Base.
White House officials did not immediately disclose the topic of Obama's talk with President Hu Jintao. China had announced earlier in the day that Hu would travel to Washington in two weeks to attend a nuclear security summit hosted by Obama despite a recent cooling of relations between the two nations.
Obama's plane arrived at Andrews Air Force Base shortly before 11 p.m. (0300 GMT Friday) following his trip to New England for a speech, two fundraisers and an impromptu visit with emergency workers dealing with this week's widespread flooding in the Northeast.
