One man was killed and another seriously wounded Friday evening when unidentified individuals opened fire near a nursing home in the village of Jat. At first, the two men had been evacuated by an emergency response team in serious condition. However, one of them succumbed to his wounds on the way to Hadera's Hillel Yaffe Hospital. The victim, aged 45, was a resident of the village. The wounded man, aged 54, resides in Baka al-Gharbiyah, a neighboring Galilee village. Police were investigating the incident.
