PA claim IDF killed a Palestinian on Gaza border

Palestinian sources reported Wednesday the death of a 19-year-old youth from shots fired by the IDF the same morning on the border with Gaza, while he participated in a Palestinian demonstration near the border fence, east of Gaza city.

The demonstration protested against IDF closure of areas near the border for Palestinian entry.

IDF spokesman responded by saying that the Army fired in order to drive the demonstrators away from the fence, adding that the adjoining areas are considered a security zone and any terror elements moving into this zone would endanger Israeli citizens and soldiers in the area.
